Default I can't even begin to describe how happy this trade would make me.

Crisp, Lester and a minor league player for Santana????

That would be unbelievable for the BoSox!

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3133598

$150 million for a contract extension is high, but he is the best pitcher in baseball and with starters of Santana, Matsuzaka and Beckett (with Papelbon as reliever), I can book my World Series tickets right now.

I hope this gets done.

Will not happen, I guarantee it. The Yanks have offered Hughes, Melky Cabrera, Ian Kennedy and Robinson Cano. Its a no brainer on what offer you take.

No, my understanding was that they indicated either Kennedy or Hughes would be discussed in a trade, and not that they were offering them for sure.

If I'm Minnesota it takes 3 stud prospects to get Santana, no way should they make that trade. Minnesota should focus in on talks with the Dodgers.

If I'm Minnesota any trade talks with Boston that don't include Beckett would be ignored.

Minny just got the next Griffey for pennies on the dollar. Mark it down Delmon Young if he doesnt kill someone, get busted for dog fighting, or comes out of the closet, will be a minimum 10 time all-star and 2 time mvp.

Bookmark this post and look at it 12-14 years from now.

If you are shopping Santana you are shopping him for prospects. Anything short of stud batting prospect and 2 stud pitching prospects should be ignored.

I can agree with this; I'm just saying that I don't even look at Boston if they want Santana unless Beckett is a part of the deal. If it's another team, I'm all for going your route.

So why don't you change your name to Boston Coug, Cali-Wannabe?

I wasn't born in Boston, and I don't live there currently. Why don't you change your name to useless?
