Maybe I'm just odd, but it cracked me up. Not so much the sentitment, but the way he said it:

Honestly, I can only hope to end up in the same place/environment as people such as him, and if the choice be mine, I'd MUCH rather be in the same place that he is bound to go, and be around him and people like him; than you, and people like you.

Perhaps I shouldn't criticize/scrutinize other people's style/mode of writing; than him, and people like him.
