I could have gone with duplicity, but I decided to throw the extra syllable in for good measure...thanks for noticing! I'm occasionally told that my sesquipedalia and loquaciousness aren't as endearing as I'd like to think, so I'm relieved to know there are still some who appreciate the finer arts.

As for Scholtzsky's, there are a number of them here in the SLC are and I do like what I've tried; however, I still prefer a few local places here:
Granato's and Grove Market.

We have an excellent local deli here called "City Bites." If any of you are in town I shall be happy to take you on my (er, Flash's) dime. My favorite deli is probably Jason's Deli, which isn't local, but very good nonetheless.

I've never been a fan of Schlotzsky's....most of the Utah locations have closed if I remember correctly.

There's a downtown Italian Deli Caputo's that is delicious. My favorite their is the meatball sandwich.

Shame on me! How could I have forgotten about Caputo's?

It is a great place to eat. I love going there because it gives me a chance to speak Italian while I eat. And yes, the meatball sandwich is delicious - I mean delisioso!

That's the one.

When Tony Caputo moved to the current location about 10 years or so ago, his goal was to start to attract all things Italian in that part of SLC. He wants to have a mini Little Italy in downtown Salt Lake. While it's not growing as fast as he'd like it to, there are signs that it's starting to happen. He sponsors an "Italian Days Festival" of sort each summer where folks can gather and enjoy Italian cultural events. It's a lot of fun.

Caputo's is excellent.

Next time you are there, get a tri-salad sampler with pesto, bread salad and antipasti. Couple it with a hot Italian sausage sandwich and you have a wonderful meal for two that pops with taste.

Caputo's is fantastic. Granato's isn't bad either.
