Default McDonalds Makeover

I just read this article about the new image that McDonalds restaurants are going for.

http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/...2.asp?GT1=8180

Plush couches, Wi-Fi, gourmet coffee.... The whole bit.

So do you think it'll work? Perhaps a new crowd hanging out at the golden arches?

Personally, I doubt it. Its like Walmart making a big push to go after Saks to become the clothing supplier of the rich and famous.

Also, the article states an annual profit margin of $300-400K per store. Is this not very good for a fast food restaurant? It seems to me like their doing okay, so why mess with a good thing (and I use the term VERY loosely).
