Torre can handle head cases, so not worried there. Massive latino fanbase in LA will immediately embrace him.

From a practical perspective, can it really ruin a team that has only won 1 post-season game in the past 20 years?

Defensively, he is toast. that is a bigger outfield in Dodger Stadium without that big nasty green wall helping you out.

Manny is going to have to lose some weight, ASAP.

I agree a huge loss. Papi just came back into the rotation and I expected a mini-explosion over the latter half of the summer with these two.

Can Youk still hit like he's hitting without Manny? Can Papi get going if nobody has to pitch to him? Will JD Drew keep getting his pitches?

Manny was the engine that made that offense go, wonder if it'll sputter now that he's gone.
