I am always so surprised when I get this kind of reaction.

I'm Baptist. Worse yet, I'm Southern Baptist. I have endured the seemingly required speeches given by ex-Mormans and decided for myself that the Mormans I knew seemed like regular God-fearing Christians to me. You have an extra book to go along with the Bible - OK. I'm fine with that. The Catholics I know have a few extra in their Bibles too, and sin of all sins, I've been known to read some of them - and learn something. I don't believe you are all going to hell, even if you do believe that I am.

Are you likely to convert me? Probably not - and I won't attempt to convert y'all. (which I do know is hopeless, as your church is much better at educating you all, than mine is)

No, no, no, I was just playing with the responses. Arch said we had been bitten by frauds and you said you wouldn't bite unless asked, leaving the 'pregnant implication' that you are a fraud that won't bite. I have no idea who you are and am more than prepared to accept you as who and what you say you are. This has nothing at all to do with religion. This does show once again that my jokes are nto very good. Welcome.

Sorry then.

The bite remark, btw, was my own poor attempt at comedy.

The best way to recognize a genuine evangelical is by the way they spell Mormon.

"Morman"

I'm not mocking Evangelical Lurker here. It's just a fact. Baptists love to spell it "Morman." I'm sure Barbie-G would spell it Morman too, if we would let her get away with it.

OK, so I'm a googler - that's it. I like to google people to see what they are up to. In other words, I'm a snoop - sometimes snooping can lead you to half way interesting places.
Evangelical Stalker would be a more appropriate name.

Rest assured, I will do my best to correct my mispelling before I hit enter in the future. I do realize that Mormon is spelled with an O, however once in a while phonics comes back and bites me in the rear and I just spell things out phonetically without thinking. Where I come from, Mormon sounds like Morman. I'm a bit hick.

Remind me to never move to Utah. Based on the sort of welcome I get by merely posting on one of your boards, I fear I might be put in a dark room with a spotlight and a few months worth of questioning.

Nothing personal. It just sounded stalkerish.

Now that's funny.

I'll bet more than one of the people who've interrogated you are mortally offended you lumped them in with Utah Mormons.
