Default Greenspan's reputation in tatters

Here's a rule for life: If someone is made out to be a demi-god, it's always too good to be true (yes, I'm talking to you, Mormons).

I suppose one is only a demi-god if others make that claim, so your self proclamation gives you a pass on this, eh?

If you believe this article, from 1994 till Greenspan retired Congress and the public listened to him spellbound, scared to contradict him, but not understanding hardly a word he said as he stupidly blathered utter nonsense; like SWK talking about "Lamanites" turning white. The few people who tried to say the emperor had no clothes were crushed by Greenspan's henchmen like Phil Gramm.

We treated him like he was the prophet. We even called him "the oracle." The whole country acted like Mormons. Get it?

Didn't Greenspan say "irrational exuberance" and wasn't that followed by President Hinckley also warning, just prior to the tech collapse, for members to get their financial houses in order?

I've never heard the general authorities exhort members to take more risks with their money.

You don't get my point. Or, you probably do, but you're being evasive. Forget it.

Seattle, are you trying to say Greenspan is a Lamanite?

That was great. It was like the assignments we got in 7th grade. Now do one associating Henry Paulson and H. David Burton.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think about the title "Divus Julius"?
