I do this with my Top Ramen--cook it, add the flavor, drain it all out so that it is just noodles. Then I put on cayenne pepper and add a lot of parmesean cheese and voila--a nice hearty fattening meal.

Cook the noodles, drain, throw on the skillet with a little bit of canola oil. As the noodles are frying, mix in the packet. You don't have to leave them on the skillet for too long, just enough to get a little browning.

You can also fry Ramen noodles with an egg, frozen peas and carrots with a little soy sauce, just like you would fried rice.

Cook a box of Macaroni and cheese. Add bag of Ramen noodles and seasoning for the last 2-3 minutes. Add cheese, milk, butter. Enjoy.

Another favorite mission meal of ours was to brown a 1/2 pound of hamburger or turkey, add a can of Cream of Mushroom (or chicken) and some ketsup for flavor and serve inside a flour tortilla.

I made this for my wife when we were newlyweds as part of a special mission cultural dinner (Toronto Canada mission). 11 years later and she hasn't asked me to cook a meal since. And she has little desire to go visit Toronto, if that is what they serve there. Oh well, more for me.

You must have gone to one of those missions where they actually feed you more than twice in 2 years. Where was it - Salt Lake? Ogden? Des Moines?

I served in Bolivia. Poorest nation, per capita, in South America.

I lived around 7th East and 7th North (aka Condo Row...Jamestown, Kensignton, Wellington, etc..).

Wow, you considered Glenhole to be fancy, high dollar? Where did you live? Do I want to know?

Wal-Mart is the cheapest place to get most things. Why does this surprise you?
