These are pretty save choices, but I think MIA sucks, Amy Winehouse is overrated, and Blue Scholars are only regional hip hop.

M.I.A. is horrible.

Some great groups on that list. I love The National and Jose Gonzales. Jose Gonzales has a sweet acoustic cover of The Knife's hit "Heartbeats."

Of those 20, I've only heard of 2.

And of the 2 I've heard of, I wouldn't know one of their songs if it kicked me in the groin.

Agree about Amy Winehouse, which is not to say I don't like her, just to say that she doesn't deserve all the attention she gets. It seems to have to do mostly with her drug escapades.

Anyway, lots of good stuff on that list. Jose Gonzales is great, Spoon, Feist, Iron & Wine, New Pornographers, Shins. Not a fan of Arcade Fire, MIA or Okkervil River. There are a few things on there I will need to go listen to.

Somehow Radiohead has become the Bob Dylan of indie music. They could put out an album consisting of meowing cats and it would be everyones number one.

From that list I own the White Stripes and Modest Mouse. MM's We Were Dead... was my favorite cd of the year hands down.
