You'll find stuff like this along the Wasatch Front:

Barbara, meet Sun Dial Peak as it overlooks Lake Blanche.

This might just depend on the day or who reads it. Part of me thinks some might view it as a nice bit of diversity to add to the campus: a non-LDS, female, Democrat. But there would be many who my pigeon-hole you as rabble-rousing liberal, and there's no place for such at BYU. Both elements do exist at BYU.

Because we have no family in the area, and because Flash hates the desert, it would not be our first choice. But several parties and factors have worked in collusion to convince us that we should at least apply.
Fair enough, but I think you should go for it. Utah is a beautiful place with tons of outdoor things to do (if you're into that sort of thing), and the Mormon culture of the place would provide you no end of daily entertainment.

Plus I think you'd get a real kick out of taking a BYU religion class.

Do law students have to take religion classes?

I believe the requirement is only for undergraduates. But I think Barbara would enjoy one anyway.

Grad students are not required to do most of the things undergraduate students must.

It is worth the application and Flash will be pleased about the snowfall. I wouldn't delete the Obama references as 95% of all Utah County Democrats hole themselves up in the BYU Law School administration.
