Some groups I listened to recently
I've been watching "Later...with Jools Holland" on RaveHD. It's a BBC music show.
On the last episode they had the Scissor Sisters, Tony Bennett, The Hours, Mr. Hudson and the Library, and The Good, The Bad, and The Queen. Scissor sisters were a trip. I had never heard their music before. I had heard the name, but didn't know what they were about. Imagine the Bee Gees, but this time they are really gay. The lead singer was a male strip dancer at one point in his life. Their female member is slightly hot. Nice face, but could use a workout or two. Anyway, two bands that I did like: 1. Mr. Hudson and the Library. Imagine if Sting had taken up reggae. Interesting. 2. The Good, The Bad, and the Queen. This is the name of the album. The band has no name yet. They are composed of the Blur/Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn and the bassist from the Clash. I'm not familiar with Blur, but I can say that when I listened to the Gorillaz, Albarn was not the image I had in mind. He was wearing a top hat, and had a crooked-toothed grin. anyway, their music was interesting. |

I've heard the Scissor Sisters before. They sound exactly like 1970's Elton John.
