PS I am in the "no tramp" category, only because I found them to be boring.

I don't really care much, but if you are just thinking about it, and have other options, the stats seem pretty clear that there is a serious injury rate to consider here.

my recollections of trampolines....
you start out jumping up and down, but that gets boring after about 2 minutes. So you play crack the egg or whatever for about 10 minutes. That gets boring. If you are a boy and have male friends over, then someone gets a football or something and throws it at the guy jumping up and down, who in turn tries to catch it. That last for about 10 minutes. By then, everyone is ready to go back inside. usually everyone is very sweaty. Marsupial, why not buy everyone those small individual trampolines? that way people can do it at their own leisure without requiring a lot of total floor space?

They're good fun, but that fun usually lasted just a few minutes. Sleeping on the trampoline during the summer was fun.

We have one in our yard and the kids love it, as do their friends. We asked that the parents of our kids' friends send some sort of written permission for their kids to jump on the trampoline and most of them acted like it was an insult that we would even think we needed to go that far for liability reasons. The only kid to have had to go to the ER was our oldest boy when he was trying to jump from the trampoline to the roof and sliced his hand on a rain gutter.
