No, but somewhat related, I read the book, "Sally Hemmings," which was a NYT bestseller.

It isn't a true bio, but a novel. Decent read, but at times felt like it was dipping into Harlequin territory. The author spins it like the Crap and The Glory books....historical fiction.

Yes. I'm looking for something a little more substantive than a $2 bill, which, IMO, is the worst presidential image on our currency. I much prefer his look on the nickel.

As do I, but it takes 40 nickels to equal a $2 bill. I'm all about maximizing piggy bank holdings.

American Sphinx is very readable (despite Ellis' resume stuffing) and I would suggest it as a starter, but don't end there.

I also read Brodie's book and didn't really care for it much. THere is another one I really liked that I bought at Monticello, but I cna't recall its name right now. I'll try to track it down. I love Jefferson.
