It's all a spectrum. Including birth control, morning after pills, abortions. . . and no one really knows where to "draw the line." But there does seem to be a third trimester consensus related to abortion.

The murder of the unborn, though, that's a different question. And murder laws, like abortion ones, are state laws.

All the posts before mine are irrelevant. It's a crime to kill a fetus if you're not the mother and without the mother's consent even as it might be okay for her to choose to abort it. There are specific criminal statutes that impose manslaughter, murder, etc. for killing a fetus.

I see the distinction in allowing the third party to be charged with assault, theft or something else. I don't see a distinction that would allow it being called murder, taking of an innocent life in one case and yet in another case it isn't the taking of an innocent life.

I personally am against abortion. However, I don't have this big moral hangup with it as it being the taking of a life.

I don't believe life begins at conception and use the church as my basis for that. The fact they allow for abortion in the case of rape or incest tells me life doesn't begin at conception.

If it makes any sense, I believe abortion belittles the sanctity of reproduction, taking responsibility and makes sexual immorality more common place. Those things are bad, but certainly not the taking of innocent life.
