the church is actually somewhat moderate on the issue, and that pisses off the conservative LDS.

We have a lot of Spanish-speaking members in the USA, and yes, lots of them are illegal. Including a kid my ward sent on a mission. I'm ok with it.

The Church's immigration policy is a pragmatic one. The US's immigration policy is a lack of one and a mess.
