If I had to pick a new team, I don't know that it's them, though. I just think College Football is better with a good ND team going around. If I had to pick a new team, I may go with Texas.

Make it two votes for the mighty Washington Huskies! I went to Business School there for two years. There is no prettier campus or location for a football stadium (although the seats need some refurbishing). From our dorm room high atop mighty McMahon Hall we used to watch people arrive for the games at the dock next to the stadium. What a life - get in your sailboat or yacht and cruise to the game. Big time atmosphere - and the Huskies will rise again. |

Nebraska Cornhuskers for me.
When I first moved to NE, I despised the team. Couldn't stand them, and disliked the fans even more. This was at the end of the Tom Osborne era when they returned to mortality under Solich. After a few off years and watching most of their games on tv (never went to the stadium), they actually grew on me, kind of like a barnacle, and now, 7 years later I still find myself cheering for them. |

UCLA and Hawaii.
In fact, I follow both teams to some degree. My dad used to always joke that his favorite games were when BYU played Hawaii because he always won.

Barry Switzer ruined Oklahoma for BYU fans, as Chuck Fairbanks and Bud Wilkerson were good guys. Once Barry tainted OU, it became harder to root for them.

Oh, I certainly wouldn't suggest that anyone other than perhaps a masochist become an Oklahoma fan. I just thought it was funny that several of you mentioned teams that us Sooners have an, um, history with. next thing you know one of you will claim Oregon.

The uniforms alone are a reason to hate Oregon.

Besides who couldn't beat Oregon last year?
