I'm surprised you like Band of Brothers. I don't know a female who likes that show...

Shawshank -- honestly, I own the DVD but have never watched it straight through. But who doesn't get sucked in whenever it's on TBS?

I agree with Parrot...I can watch anything by Christopher Guest multiple times...loved Best in Show and Spinal Tap especially. I posted a response on the first page of this thread, so I am adding some titles to it as well as re-mentioning some of my favorites.

Other movies that I will watch no matter what I am doing if it comes on TV:

Airplane
Godfather 1 or 2
Shaun of the Dead
Gladiator and 300
Dr. Strangelove
Kill Bill, any of 'em
Most Hitchcock flicks (especially North By Northwest and Vertigo)
Naked Gun
Matrix (the first one, none of the others)
Aliens

And there are plenty of others but my mind is blank for now.

Wow - I started the thread not realizing how old it was. Oh well, here's some of my favorites:

The 5th element
Star Wars trilogy
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
The Man Who Knew Too Little
Force 10 from Navarone

I loved Shawshank, O Brother, Batman Begins, and countless others, but these are the movies I've watched hundreds of times (except for Force 10 - I can't find it anywhere, have only watched it about six times), but still get excited about when I feel a hankering to watch them.

I'd put Do the Right Thing in my top 10, maybe top 5. It seems to be a forgotten great one these days.

1. My Cousin Vinny
2. Strange Brew
3. Airplane
4. Smokey and the Bandit
5. Napoleon Dynamite

My criteria is how many times I can watch it and still laugh, and quotability.

Ah yes, how could I have forgotten LOTR trilogy? I have seen all of the movies many times, and I love them more and more eveytime. Surfah always gives me a hard time for knowing what the name is of the riders of Rohan . . . anyone, anyone?

Does anyone else on here ever get bored watching movies? I don't go to movies anymore, because I found myself getting impatient waiting for the end so I could leave, and when I watch them at home I usually wander in and out of the room in the middle, just to take a little break. Anyone else feel that way about them?
