Gatti done...
Retired after another KO loss. This time to Alfonso Gomez from the Contender. Gatti's fights against Ward are epic. The guy ate a ton of leather over his career but he was a warrior and always entertained as a fighter.
I like Gomez. He has championship potential. I hope his promotion gets him those opportunities.

Yeah. If you've seen him fight since the show he's in great shape. He was cut for the Gatti fight. The kid's got heart and packs a punch.

Here's the final round:
Interestingly enough, Mickey Ward was in Gatti's corner for the fight. Many wondered why his corner never threw in the towel and how come the referee let him keep fighting. Even Gomez remarked after the fight that he was waiting for someone to stop it and that he had to keep punching because nobody did.
