Default Kobe and KG?

The trade rumors are a swirling...could be an interesting summer.

Hope KG goes to the Suns, and hope that Kobe gets screwed.

I would laugh my guts out if Kobe gets sent to Minnesota.

No Odom and Bynum to Minny for KG. KG and Kobe on the same team.

Bynum has the same drive to excel as OJ has to find Nicole's murderer.

I see.

Then I'd have to start hating KG.

Which is why I won't be too sad to see him go. I think in time he'll be a good, maybe even great center. But I'd rather see him go if it means the Lakers can win now.

Kobe and KG together would be a tough team for the next 5 seasons. Vets would sign with the Lakers for the minimum again, because let's face it... KG's hungry, Kobe is hungry and those two players are probably the two most intense competitors in the NBA. I think Kobe has learned that he does need some help if he wants to win, especially in the deep West.

Now, if I am Minnesota, I think I can get more than Odom and Bynum, and I try to. All in all though, this really could be an interesting summer in the NBA.

Well if it happens it will involve several other teams and a ton of draft picks. Chad Ford said the Pacers and Celtics are involved. The Lakers would give up Odom and Bynum and their 19th pick in the draft this year. Minnesota would give up Jaric and KG to the Lakers.

If this deal happens Mitch Kupchak may have completely redeemed himself. And if it does, I wonder how long before Jerry West doesn't join the Lakers again in some form or another.

And Sizzle is right. The MLE would become much more valuable again with those two superstars on this team just like the Lakers were able to use it to their advantage in previous years to fill positions with veteran role players. Oh, man have I been praying...

Yep, it really worked for the Lakers when they signed that traitorous Karl Malone.
