Default Nobody Knows: The Untold Story of Black Mormons

http://www.untoldstoryofblackmormons...railer_md.html

The trailer looks very interesting. Of special note, is the portion of the interview with Dr. Chip Murray, retired Pastor for First AME Baptist in Los Angeles (basically the AA church in LA.....when any politician comes to LA to address tha AA community, it is always here at an AME church.....Tookie Williams funeral was at Bethel AME, etc...).

Dr Murray talks about the Church having him to GC as an official guest. He sits around a table with the President of the Church and various GAs (he doesnt say which President) and the President apologizes for the Church's past role in discrimination.

Why does the Church do this? It seems that the founder of First AME Baptist was, at one point, property of Mormon pioneers.

I am really going to try to see this when it is screen in a few weeks at Claremont College. Sounds like it will make for a really educational date night.

I look forward to us all watching this and then observe how people can watch and hear the same thing and come to completely different conclusions.

did you watch the trailer? so far, it looks like a lot of interviews with black people in and out of the Church talking openly about their feelings.

I guess there are a lot of ways to interpret that.

I think it looks interesting.
