There is also no evidence that "truth" for truth's sake is a high value in the culture or the organization. Tex throwing the word "history" around like he does is a prime example. This is not new. I don't think the leadership is out of touch with how blacks and converts feel; in fact, I'd wager they know quite a bit more than you do about it. And I don't think it's simple "pride" that prevents them from self-sacrificing to atone for the sins of earlier prophets.
