Default Greenspan Overrated?

I know some of his brilliance was removed with the dot.com bust, but even with the removal of that luster, is he still overrated? It seems to me Volker had to do much of the heavy lifting and Greenspan enjoyed the credit. Thoughts?

I realize "Overrated? Yes/No" posts are not very original, but based on his last day tomorrow thought I'd ask.

Can you overate the person who has done the best at his position than anyone else has (ever)? Personally, I consider Greenspan a genius. Some of his articles that he wrote when we was much younger are very profound.
