Yup. That was pretty much it. She avoided answering questions as much as possible it seemed like to me.

Sure. You need to stop watching Fox News for your debate analysis. She "did well" in the sense that cleared a bar that was set incredibly low.

Poll numbers starting to come in on VP debate:

Quote:
Randomly selected subjects on three other polls also show Biden winning:

CNN/Opinion Research Biden 51 Palin 36
CBS Biden 46 Palin 21
Fox Biden 61 Palin 39

In the CBS poll, of the uncommitted voters, 18% now say they will vote Obama/Biden, 10% now say McCain/Palin.

Biden at least gave answers to the questions. You may not like the answers given, but he gave answers. Palin tried to avoid answering as much as possible, except for on energy policy. That bugged me.

Curious: how does one do a "random" poll of voters when the debate finished at 10:30 PM EDT? Are they seriously polling people at 11 o'clock at night?

Dummy.

You talk to peope as they leave the debate.

And you ask them this wild, crazy question: "who do you think won the debate?"

Outside Joe's Bar 'N Grill? Random sample of drunk Missourians?

If the debate were held at Joe's Bar 'N Grill, then yes. Otherwise, you go to the University and talk to folks there as they leave the debate. Not sure if you noticed, but there were a lot of news media at the debate last night. Maybe they were simply there to film footage and not talk to anyone.

those drunk missourians have the same vote as you or I, so catering to stupid, drunk rednecks is an important strategy. I guess that is why McCain picked Palin.

oooh DDD.....thay're you goo ageen!

In other words, it doesn't tell us anything but what people in the hall thought. Big deal.
