Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.

If people are serious about boycotting Apple's liberal ways, I smell a lucrative business opportunity. We should raise some seed money to launch a line of Conservative MP3 players.

We could even install filtration software that prevents the MP3 player from playing songs by gay or otherwise immoral artists.

Apple is joining google, google's announcement came in september.

One of my brothers' mission companions father was a designer for a major electronics company while growing up. He said that with MP3s and the readily availability of songs with inappropriate lyrics available for illegal download he felt that was a major problem in the church and had left to start up a service that would edit content for songs very similarly to the way that ClearPlay DVDs edit movies. No worries DDD, I have a feeling that help is on the way, and quickly! I think he said that he anticipates a launch in the market spring of 2009.
