Default Here's bluegoose in a nutshell:

Long time observer on the “Board”, but never any real interest in joining. The Guard came highly recommended by a frequent contributor, who may or may not be aware that I know of his identity.

I’m 31 years old, married, 2 kids ages 5 and 2.

BYU grad, Physical Therapist, business owner

Yes, I am an avid cyclist; No, I’m not very good.

Yes, I own several pairs of Lycra/spandex shorts; No, I never been told that they look good on me.

Yes, I like show tunes; No, I am not gay.

I enjoy backpacking/climbing/repelling/spelunking when the Mrs. grants permission.

I watched the ’96 Cotton Bowl on my honeymoon, and no, that did not go over real well with the bride.

About 12 years ago I spent 2 years in Toronto knocking on doors and getting spat at. Yet, somehow I still feel some affection for those amoral Socialist bastards who charge way too much in sales tax but make the best candy bars in the world.

I’ve seen 13 Veggie Tales movies, my favorite of which is “The End of Silliness???” If you don’t know what this is, consult which someone who has a 2 year old.

I am a die-hard cougar fan, grad school at Creighton (Blue jays), mission to Toronto (Blue Jays), born in Kansas (a Royals fan and a Jayhawks basketball fan). Are you seeing a trend? Now if the 49ers would just change their uni color to blue, it would greatly simplify my game day wardrobe.

Did you ever work on a project paper in honors technical writing with a premed student, and then rat out said premed student for not doing equal work, leading said premed student into argument with professor over grade?

Just curious.

Don't let him fool you. He's good. I can barely stay in his draft on his easy day (though that isn't really proof of anything now that I think about it).

I figured out who he is after reading his intro and making a fool of myself with boardmail. No way is he the guy who ratted you out in honors technical writing, he's too mellow for that.

the guy in technical writing was about my age and was going to physical therapy school. Of course, that does not narrow the field very much.

The professor said "based on the excellence of the writing in your email, I have decided to raise your grade." LOL.

I hated that class.

Default Steel was sandbagging that day...

saving it all for this weekends century. Making the horses work up front while he is cruising in the back. Just wait until the Yreka century when he embarasses us in the paceline. It seems like I overhead him mention something about a sustained 27 mph pace...

As far as english class, you had me at "honors". There's no way it could have been me. I took technical writing before the mission and I don't believe that honors was even an option for the guy that had to take summer school just to get accepted due to slacker high school grades, procrastination, etc...

Don't get me wrong, I'd rat you out any day of the week. but in this case it was some other aspiring PT.

Default Yes indeed...

I have walked those very same roads. Beautiful part of the country, isn't it? (whats the emoticon for sarcasm?). 1994-ish, I believe.

I don't remember much about the Canadian Kit Kat.

All that needs to said is one word - Wonderbar!!!

Default 1994

In 1994 I would've just arrived in the country ... Boyer was your mission president?

Toronto is a very beautiful corner of the earth, but like all corners its' got it's dank, dark and dirty spots -the corner of Kingston and Midland being one of them.

Wonderbar .... BLEC!

If you were in the Scarborough Ward in late summer/fall I would've gone on splits with you.

small small world!
