I've been here awhile as a lurker but thought I'd do a more personal introduction. I'll add a comment here and there but I am mostly here to see your thoughts, since as a true zoob, I can't formulate my own.

My claims to fame:
1. I'm the first person to win a coin toss with a Euro (debatable) and to give one to a homeless person (near proven). I was on my mission in France when the Euros were first given out (December 14, 2001, I believe). My companion and I were in line at the post office before it opened, and received ours quite quickly. Most people were keeping them sealed, but I broke mine open and quickly (inside the post office) did a coin toss with my companion. I can't imagine anyone else did this as their first action, so I'm the first winner (comp is the first loser). In the subway ride home, I saw a bum playing the guitar and gave him one, another act I can't imagine anyone else would have done within the first hour of circulation.

2. My wife's cousin is the lead singer of The Killers. Her other cousin is on the PGA (although at the bottom), but none of my blood relatives are famous, yet.

3. I have been in a different city during the Utah/BYU game every year for the past 9 years (in Fremont in '98 as well).
2007- Boise, ID
2006- Caribbean
2005- Fremont, CA
2004- Eugene, OR
2003- Las Vegas, NV
2002- SLC, UT
2001- Lyon, France
2000- Biel, Switzerland
1999- Provo, UT

That's all for now.

p.s. My avatar is a pic of my sister and me beating Zelda, i was a video game prodigy.

I'm really sorry you have had the misfortune of living in Provo, Boise, and Eugene.

Actually, we were in Boise for Thanksgiving visiting my wife's family(I live in the Bay Area), and visited ParrotHead in Eugene. But yes, I accept your condolences for Provo.

It's too bad you spent time in SLC and not more time in Vegas. That explains a touch of culture but not too much.

Has this relationship translated into any free tickets or backstage passes?

Yeah, whenever they're in town (San Fran), we'll go and get backstage passes. It's kind of interesting seeing all the groupies and stuff (the guitarist Dave is sort of a man-whore). It's crazy seeing all the shirts/signs/general commercialism since when I first met my future wife, he was struggling to get gigs in Vegas, and the ones they did get were usually at gay bars.

Not so fast my friend....if you were a prodigy, why did you need your sister's help to beat Zelda?

PS Did you both ever play Double Dribble together? I loved shooting free throws on that game and passing the ball really fast. I also liked hitting the "reset" button so the computer could say "Double Dribble."

DOuble Dribble was fun but the ultimate nintendo sports game was RBI baseball.

RBI baseball was good, but Baseball Stars was better.

Name. I'd like to hear the name of the golfer.
