There were a couple of days on my mission north of Toronto when we registered 40 below, 55 below with the wind chill. Not a problem with a good pair of Sorels and a down parka.

Granted I wasn't running in it, but I was tracting in it.

Yea, that's normal winter fare in part sof Quebec as well. In my second winter in Quebec we went for over two weeks where the temeratuire didn't get about -40. IOW, middle fo the day, sunshine, warm as it's gonna get, and it's -40. That sucked. At night, forget about it. Once it gets to about -50 the humidity dreezes out fo the air (or so I was told) and it gets drier. Plus, the F and C scales converge past about -45. These are all thinkgs that you hope no one else in your family ever has to learn about or even wonder about.

I am told by Canadians that the two converge at negative 40. Supposedly every Canadian child learns that by heart. I'm glad I have no personal experience with that phenomenon.
