So I was thinking this Mother's Day weekend about the role of women in the gospel and got thinking about the pentagrams adorning the temples....

The Nauvoo temple has glass pentacles that, I believe, allow natural light to enter into the Celestial Room. Does it not strike anyone as interesting that a highly symbollic edifice, has a feminine symbol as a gateway of light to the presence of God?

Knowledge, truth, enlightenment, entering into the presence of God, by way of the Celestial Room, are afforded by the presence of natural light, by way of a woman.......

I am saying that the Holy Ghost is a woman....

Definitely an interesting notion. How fervently do you believe it? How would you explain Nephi referring to the Spirit of the Lord in 1 Ne. 11 as "he" (assuming the Spirit of the Lord and the Holy Ghost are the same person here)? Interested in discussing this pleasantly...

Well, I don't know about the Holy Ghost, but I believe Satan is a woman.

doesn't he speak to two people? One could have been Jesus and the other the Holy ghost

The Lord was a spirit before gaining a body. So Nephi was seeing the pre-mortal spirit of Jesus....

That's at least my interpretation....

never thought about that before....is there any clear delineation anywhere of the gender of the Holy Ghost?
