Nice that we're replacing him with a guy (Jerry Bruner) that shaves .3 off that 40 time.

it's funny how everyone is 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 in high school and college, and then you get to the NFL combine, and almost no one can run under a 4.4.

4.64 makes Kehl among the fastest linebackers.

You don't really believe Bruner runs a sub 4.4 do you? I got the Whitney reference today. I think you just earned it also.

Sarcasm. See the thread we realized Bruner was recorded with a 12+ 100M time.

Although I have to admit in the recruiting video, I was pleasantly surprised with Bruner's speed.

Bruner is faster than 12.04 in the 100M. That's based on one race in poor conditions.

I haven't heard anything since. What is his best time or most typical time. I'm not ripping on him, like I said I was impressed with his speed (esp. relative to size) in the video.

Thats true, but this year at the combine it seems like everyone is running in the 4.4 range at least the running backs and wide recievers.

Dexter Jackson of Appalachian State and Eric Johnson of East Carolina both ran 4.24 40s. Darren Mcfadden ran a 4.28/4.33 (depending on who you ask) and Johnathan Stewart of Oregon who weighs 235 pounds ran a 4.44.

With that being said 4.64 is a great time especially considering he weighed in at 248 pounds and he was 3rd among linebackers with 26 bench reps. Speed and strength bode well come draft time.
