Default Courteous drivers in Marin County

Today we took the triple over to Marin COunty for a ride around some of the coastal hills and to see the AUdubon Canyon Ranch nature preserve, where it is the tail end of the nesting season for great egrets, which was a cool stop on the ride. ANyway, I just wanted to say that even though most of the roads we were on had no shoulder, as in none, and even though the triple is a SLUG going up hills (but fast, fast, too fast going down) I was surprised at how courteous cars were today. WIth a single exception, and it was very minor, Cars politely waited until it was safe to pass, gave us wide berth and even waited as we took a lane on several downhills (I think we scared one guy when on a long descent he looked in his mirror and there we were at about 45 mph). No one shouted, no one threw anything and the only gestures were a few thumbs up (people seem to feel compelled to acknowledge the oddity of a 3 person bike, for some reason).

ANyhoo, because we have so many negative stories about cars here, I thought I would share a positive one. It was very nice, to tell you the truth.
