It's a year old but I would love to hear your review. I missed a chance to see her speak in my area.
KK, that catty mfkr bashed her on Facebook. |

haven't read it yet.
I guess McBaine is the moderate wing of the Mormon women's movement. So the hardliners don't like her. Or think she is just an apologist. |

No, most hardliners (like Joanna Brooks) are fine with her. KK is just a b*ch.

I just listened to her on a podcast. Notes:
* She is sweet and pleasant. Very stark contrast with Kate Kelly. * Women did not stop laying on of hands until 1920s. * Take every opportunity to expand women's roles within the current framework. * If the handbook is silent, it's permitted. * Do things on a local level until orders are issued top-down. - Have young women bring bread to church, so the bishop can thank them on the pulpit. - Have wives sit with apostles in General Conference. - Have pictures of of general primary president on walls, so the primary can know who their leaders are. - Be creative! |

Let's say I was Bishop. I would be receptive to this. But I think I would have significant doubts that it would be well received by the other members. Much less stake leaders and the like. |
