MikeWaters is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Why does the church want to ban concealed handgun carry in its churches?

This goes to the opaqueness of how the church conducts its business.

Given the recent shooting near Fort Worth where the security volunteers of a church stopped a mass shooter 6 seconds after the shooting started.

One wonders how these decisions are made?

Jesus spoke to the apostles? Told them not to allow guns, unless they are current police officers?

Or church legal was questioned, provided a report, and the First Presidency makes a decision?

Is it possible the decision is made at a level lower than the FP? Who knows. The news report I read from the end of the summer didn’t say.
