BYU rumors / thoughts

I have a new friend that is a UT grad who told me that there have been recent rumblings of BYU to the Big 12. I hadn't heard those, but then again I had not been paying close attention. A quick google search didn't show very much heat in terms of those rumors.

I think I'm in a bit of a funk about BYU football. Two years straight of no one picked in the draft. No conference. Meaning that there is no conference championship to play for. No rivals. No chance of playing in a non-crappy bowl (we know what bowl BYU will be in before the season starts, because yes I know that BYU will not end up undefeated). Unremarkable recruiting. A BYU coaching staff that is solid, but can rarely be counted on to win games its not supposed to via superior game planning and preparation. The new "playoff" system will have no application to BYU.

We have topped out and I am bored with the product.

We have topped out and I am bored with the product.

I will always have some interest in the product but it no longer holds my interest throughout the year as it once did. Perhaps it's a product of age but my father had interest until recently so I believe it's the lack of future for BYU that is ruining interest in BYU football.

We don't sign surprise recruits. We don't win surprise games, and we aren't positioning ourselves for better conferences.

Utah is in a better position, but BYU administration can't see that apparently.
