Default The ambassador to Libya murdered

I'm coming more to a no-boots-on-the-ground position on all of these countries.

The dilemma is that there are many good moderate, decent people in these countries. And for example, when/if we pull out, people like women (see Afghanistan) will be devastated.

Could I ask my son to die for Libya? Egypt? Afghanistan? Iraq? Iran? Syria?

No, no, no, no, no, no.

We should still carry a stick, and threaten to use it. But from a distance.

It's a sad thing, but a nuanced, surgical way of trying to improve these cesspits is not going to work.
