Nope. It reminds me of a song I downloaded on MP3 that was a parody to I belive "I want it that way" that was "Which Backstreet Boy Is Gay" and the last line of the song says "Okay, we're ALL gay..."

The last time I listend to a boy band and liked it was a Boyz to Men song back in the late 80s or early 90s.

I don't normally enjoy their music but I have to admit I would prefer to listen to kids from a boy band sing in harmony than listen to some dude scream into a microphone while his backup band plays the same three chords over and over and over.
I suppose one could make the argument that the Beatles started as a sort of boy band, but they certainly transcended that role in ways I can confidently assert 'n Sync (or however you apostrophe-ize that abomination of a name) never will.

Very true... When you consider how many of the Beatles' contemporaries ever moved on to do what they did it looks very similar.

It wouldn't surprise me if some kid from one of the boy bands went on to become a "serious" musician. Right now I don't like them but millions of 14 year old girls do and that's fine. I'd rather have them listening to a boy band than painting their toenails black and experimenting with gender-bending wardrobe.

BTW, I love boy bands, love N'Sync, love Backstreet Boys, like 98 degrees, like O-town.

And please don't pretend like I'm the only one here who loves these types of bands, I would be willing to bet a majority of the people on this site from 20-30 know the words to this song by heart and could probably bust a few dance moves from the music video....

It's tearing up my heart when I'm with you
But when we are apart, I feel it too
And no matter what I do, I feel the pain
with or without you

Baby I don't understand
Just why we can't be lovers
Things are getting out of hand
Trying too much, but baby we can't win

Let it go
If you want me girl, let me know
I am down on my knees
I can't take it anymore
I don't love boy bands. I don't know the words to the above song (don't even know what song it is). But I'm nearing 40 so I definitely don't fit your 20-30 age category.

The only thing I know about NSync is that they did a Simpson's episode (I think that was the "Join the Navy" episode?). That's about it.

Name a band or a musician you love. Chances are we can find a Beatles connection or influence.

It's kind of like Elvis and the Grateful Dead. They're everywhere.

I'll call you a liar if you tell me you don't know the words to this song by heart as well:

I don't know what he does to make you cry
But I'll be there to make you smile
I don't have a fancy car
To get to you I'd walk a thousand miles

I don't care if he buys you nice things
Does his gifts come from the heart?
I don't know, but if you were my girl
I'd make it so we'd never be apart

But my love is all I have to give
Without you I don't think I could live
I wish I could give the world to you
But love is all I have to give
i already said that I know words to some boy band songs... that one I am sorry to say, I have no clue on..

Dang, I'm glad I'm in my 40s. And my kids are too young to be fans of those boy bands. Of course, I've indoctrinated them with nothing but 80s New Wave and a bit of jazz, just for the sake of variety.

Fus - what were those songs you quoted and which sang them? My guess is that all boys bands are one in the same and all the songs sound alike.
