Celtics look good
I am not a fan of any of the Boston teams, but man does this look like the perfect storm year.
KG looks revitalized, Paul Pierce is probably one of the most unknown and therefore underrated players in the league. Ray Allen nothing exciting just solid play. Has there ever been a city this poised to be so good. Giants went to the Superbowl and Yankees world series in 2000-01, I have no idea what the Knicks did that year. |

People can say what they want about Danny Ainge, but I read an interesting article the other day about how Danny was building the right way. He was stockpiling young talent and draft picks in order to rebuild and he was actively shopping Paul Pierce who he knew was a bonafide superstar. Well Ainge is in a win/win he knew that he had all the pieces in place to rebuild over the next 3-4 years, had a few very tradeable commodities in Paul Pierce and Theo Ratliffs expiring contract, so he could surround the young guys with more young guys and they could develop together. But he also knew that he had a piece to the a championship in Pierce, so he had the option to package the young guys and build around Pierce. The problem Ainge had was that he seemed to be constantly changing his mind on what he wanted to do, one season they would sign veterans to build around Pierce the next season they would trade for Sebastian Telfair and other young players. It does seem like in the end it has worked out for him, at least for now.
