Why is this postmaster still employed by the US of A?
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/...ing/index.html
In another fraudulent case, a postmaster used a government credit card to subscribe to two Internet dating sites, the study said, and the employee also used a government computer to access pornographic sites. The postmaster racked up $1,100 in charges for the dating services, it said, and "the activity went unnoticed" by U.S. Postal Service for a full year. After an investigation, the employee paid back the $1,100, the study said. He was also removed from his position. So remind me again why we want more government? If he were in the private sector, he wouldn't have been merely removed from his position, but he would have been fired! |

This happened in the Dallas school district. They had district credit cards, and employees rang up hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stuff. I think a couple of people have gone to jail over it so far.
No govt. should use credit cards. |

This postmaster merely paid
back the money he stole. Even with that and his porno viewing on government property, he was merely reassigned.

it doesn't say he was reassigned. it said he was removed. that could mean fired. based on my understanding of the non-Utah English language.

This didn't happen in SLC
but a good friend of mine who was a Postmaster here in SLC, told me, the union wouldn't allow him to fire ANYONE regardless.
