Well if you are a lawyer do you try your case in the media?

I know there are lawyers who try to win public opinion. However, not knowing the entire lay of the land, it is wise not to debunk every rumor that's out there. My comment was a little tic.

I'm considered a cynic, so any time I can call somebody cynical, I never miss the opportunity.

I agree, which is why I was so surprised by the rather spedcific defense they established in the Mzadrid press coinference. It was a sucker's bet if Landis knew he had taken synthetic hormone. Hopefully he wil be proven right.

Did you read the teabag post? I read in an SI article that cyclists sometimes place a testosterone patch on their scrotum for a few hours to speed recovery time. Something like that could explain the one day result.

It seems there may be some short term recovery effects, or at least the belief among cyclists that there is. One cyclist describes the effect as immediate and euphoric.
