Why do you say that? What has CSC done? They have Sastre and a stage winner in Schleck. Discovery has a stage winner but nobody that has shown the form of sastre. Johann may be overrated in the same way Phil Jackson is overrated, but Riis isn't showing me anything that makes me think he is clearly better. Indeed, what about today? CSC waited far too long to chase Landis, eh? I'm not convinced Riis is any better than anyone else.

If you watched it in the morning with Phil and Paul instead of waiting for the chopped up version in the evening, you'd be even more impressed.

The past years with LA have been so formulaic--LA wins yellow in ITT or early on, LA gives back yellow to some newcomer, LA takes back yellow in mountains, game over. I realize there has been some drama beyond that, but we all pretty much knew what was going to happen in the end (c'mon, was Ulrich ever really going to out climb or out ITT LA?).

I told Mrs. myboynoah that I was looking forward to the TdF this year for the very reason that LA was gone and it seemed like anything could happen. Then, when on the eve of the race Basso, Ulrich, et al pulled out, that added even more uncertainty. Waiting to see who would step forward made it exciting. I was disappointed with Discovery, but The Two Days of Landis was simply amazing.

I almost teared up as Landis crossed the line yesterday, but then Mrs. myboynoah came into the room and spoiled the mood. How was I going to explain that I was actually misty over a sporting event? I doubt she could have understood that a man recapturing his manhood, especially on such a public stage, is definitely worthy of watery eyes.

See, men do actually have feelings.
