Still waiting...

My brother ordered his AR kit in December, he still hasn't received it although they told him it'll be sometime in May. At that rate, I should have mine by July.

in 5.56 I assume? Do you like the CTR?

Are you going to add BUIS later?

When you go for the Aimpoint, you might want to try the Live.com EBAY discount.

So, when she is done, are you going to paint it camo?

Let's hope the world doesn't end before July.

I'm waiting on my 1911 until probably August.

Yes it is a true 5.56 NATO chamber and barrel. I have also ordered a 6.8 SPC upper from here,

http://www.ar15performance.com/home

But still deciding if I want to build a 6.8 SPC. Since I ordered it, I have fallen in love with LWRC's SABR. So I have to decide. I think I really want a 7.62 NATO sniper rifle first, so I will probably go with the SABR.

The CTR is very nice. I would really like a UBR, but they are 150 more than the CTR, so maybe next build.

I have Magpul's new MBUS on order, but I have some pro mag BIUS on it right now. I will check out the live discount thing, thanks for the heads up!

I doubt I will paint it. We'll see.

A plastic pop-up site just doesn't do it for me.

Do you think a CTR is that much better than a normal 6-position stock?

How much is the LWRC SABR? Looks to be hard on the wallet.

It will be interesting to see where the 6.8 goes from here.

I have heard they are performing well at holding zero, we will see, but at the cost it is worth a try. I can't seem to justify $260 for a set of Troy Battle Sights, but I am sure I will end up with a pair of these as well.

Much better, the fit and finish is tighter and I trust it to not slip much more than a standard 6. Worth it.

$3000. Plus, then you add $1500 glass to that, so yea, it is some coin. It is a gas piston system, so that is a plus. Although, LMT will start production of a 7.62 NATO, so I may wait for that to come out. Decisions, decisions.

Remington really screwed it up with the release of the SAMMI chamber. The balistics were all screwed up from the beginning and it under performed badly. With the release of the DMR-C chambers it is performing incredibly. Had the DMR been in the beginning, in time for the testing the military asked for, I have little doubt it would have been adopted and ammo would be readily available. For now I think I am on hold with this round.

I used to want an M1A. Until I picked it up and realized it weighed 40 pounds.

I'm not really a rifle guy, but I am trying to learn.
