This can't go on much longer, but I'll give it the ol' lesbo communist try. "Are any aspects of the two books particularly Mormon?"

"Not really, except in the sense that they're written by me and I'm a committed, believing Mormon. There are Mormons who think I'm the devil because they're unable to tell the difference between Mormon doctrine and right-wing conservative views. And I find it extremely discomfiting that, really to a shocking degree, love of money has pervaded Mormon society. It's something that as a people we have great cause to repent of. I think it will lead to our condemnation in the eyes of God. When I talk that way, there are some people who are extremely troubled because they think I'm saying that they're wicked. And they're correct -- I am."
Yeah, Orson, stick it to those money-loving rich Mormons!!!!

Yeah!!!!

Easy for him to say. I wonder what he does with all those Ender royalties. He's a hypocrite. Wouldn't shock me if he were closet gay. Often angry homophoes like him are, like that guy who killed Spacey in American Beauty.

I heard that Orson Scott Card was the missionary responsible for bringing Dr. Rey of Dr. 90210 fame to America. I wonder what he thinks of that.

What's it like to be so much better than everyone else, SU? I'm serious. You act as if you think you're so much better - and especially us dumbass Mormons - I'd really like to know what it's like.

I can't speak for SU, but I enjoy it myself. Sure it gets lonely, knowing that I am forever doomed to inferior company. But still, every day I get to look in the mirror and see me. You have no idea how good that feels. I get misty just thinking about it. It realy is great.

I appreciate the insight. I can't begin to imagine what it's like, but it would have to be great.
