Default Thank You For Being a Friend

RIP Estelle Getty, a true golden girl.

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
your heart is true you're a pal and a confidant

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see, the biggest gift would be from me
and the card attached would say,
Thank you for being a friend

Good old Golden Girls. I spent many a Saturday night watching them, along with "Amen", "227" and "Hunter". I wonder if Stepfanie Kramer is still hot?

I was never a fan of Golden Girls, but Estelle Getty was rather amusing.

I never understood why it wasn't called 3 Golden Girls and the Big Guy. We all know that Bea Arthur is/was a man.

My Saturday night lineup when I was a kid always included the Aaron Spelling 1-2 punch....Love Boat followed by Fantasy Island. Why the heck did that maniac Herve Villechaiz have to blow his head off? He could be reaping the rewards of the resurgence of nostalgia TV right now.

Yup. Guaranteed cameo in the Fantasy Island movie that' sure to be coming. Unless they finally got tired of 70's TV show movies.

Yikes!

The pic of Stepfanie Kramer is some nice MILFishness.

The pic of Stephanie Zimbalist is some nice Ted Nugentishness.

I was informed recently by one of my very gay colleagues that Golden Girls has a cult following in their community. I think it's the Bea Arthur factor. At least that's my theory.

Sad news. I remember that NBC Saturday night line up as well (and the ABC Love Boat days, too--these were nearly a decade apart).
