1. The first one. That was enough for me.
I also saw the second and third movies. Also enough for me. Yikes. Someday, half the country is going to admit that those books are not that great and you will find thousands of copies of HP books in bargain bins all over the nation.....it will be like the mass-backlash against the Hootie and The Blowfish "Cracked Rear View" CD.

I love the movies, but now I just don't see a point in reading the books.

Read the first one, saw the first three movies, then met my wife (one of the only females I know that doesn't like Harry Potter) and lost any steam I had for the books or movies. I still haven't seen the 4th or 5th movies.

Haven't read any of the books, nor have I seen any of the movies.
I'm waiting for movies about The Boxcar Kids series.
