Default Is Top Gun a guy's movie or a chick flick?

Yeah you could say it is a hybrid of the two, but which predominates?

No option for gay dude flick? Those hot sweaty bodies, the beach volleyball, the locker room scenes....

Chick flick, gay guy flick - what's the difference?

Can you believe it? I have never actually seen Top Gun. I had never seen Footloose before either until fairly recently. I am guessing that like Footloose, Top Gun is one of those movies that is not really good anymore now that we've been out of the 80s for almost 20 years.

Top Gun was one of my favorite movies growing up in the 80's.

However, like ParrotHead said, if you want a lesson in unintentional gay scenes in a movie, watch Top Gun. The locker rooms, Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards oiled up and playing beack volleyball? The way Maverik cries when (don't read further Marsupial) Goose dies, I mean come on.

I am not sure that I can vote on this one because of the options. I would maybe have to say that Top Gun is a chick flick that is on the list of movies that it is okay for a guy to admit that he likes, despite the scenes that are just too homosexual to not laugh at them now.

Well, Tom is still cute, but it seems like he's lost some of his luster since he's turned into a bit of a kook.

I've always liked Hot Shots better anyway.

Without Kelly McGillis, it's an all sausage breakfast.
