Default It's been sluggish around here lately

So... how about another thread about what bike to buy? Does that get anyone's juices going, or too bored to comment?

I've had my cro-moly road bike for 11 years and it just might be time to get a new one. Maybe something quick, but not overly harsh. I don't care for Shimano shifters, so would have to be Campy or SRAM. Hoping to come in around the 2k price point.

Local shop could get last year's Cannondale Synapse in my size:

Since my current bike is orange, the Orbea Onix in black with orange trim looks cool:

Any thoughts?

I hate bikeriders who think they are in the flow of traffic when they are going too slow to be and who act like pedestrians at their own convenience. You are either one or the other. You can't be both a pedestrian and a vehicle in the flow of traffic. Just admit you are a pedestrian and get out of my way.

A true trolling moment in the spirit of Mike Waters.

Do you have specs on that Cannondale? And is that the crank that you would want - a 30/39/50? Thats kind of an unusual combo, from my experience, but I'm sure it would do just fine for what most of us do, Archaea excepted.

I'm not very familiar with Orbea, only what i've seen at rallys. Its purty though.

Another fat Benz driver pushing the pedal to the metal.

No, I wouldn't go with the triple. That's the only pic I could see right off with the black frame (I didn't much care for the other colors). I'm currently running a 8-speed 53/39, but considering moving to a compact 50/34. What kind of specs are you referring to? Head & seat tube angles, chainstay length, etc.? They're almost identical to the SystemSix and Six13, but with a couple mm longer chainstay.

The Orbea is probably out of my price range (unless one of you guys wants to chip in ), but I like the look.
