SLC Mayor

Any predictions on tommorrows primary? I think it will be Becker and Wilson. I like Buhler the best, but he is an active LDS Republican male so I'd be surprised if he gets through tommorrow.

I can't imagine that anybody would be worse than Ross C. Anderson.

It'll be close. I say Wilson and Buehler (with him riding the anti-Rocky tide) make it to the runoff and there Buehler get killed.

There are two reasons why I think you're right...
1- Mormons in SLC don't show up to vote often enough.
2- People who don't normally vote in general elections don't show up for primaries.

The majority of the voters will be the extremely active liberal base. It doesn't matter whether Buhler is a Mormon or not, he's a republican in SLC. He's going nowhere.

He was never my mayor, but I'll be glad to see him gone. The mayor of SLC may be a higher profile position than the mayor of any other city, but it really did no good for him to be such a polarizing person.

I like Mayor Snarr, but then, he's a good friend of my wife's family so I have to.

My thoughts about him are really based more on how he helped with the annexation of my area into Murray about 4 years ago. He was very helpful in making it happen. I wish he would have done more to help us get hooked to Murray Power, but that would have been costly for everyone else, so I can understand.

Are you in Murray? If so, do you like Snarr or would you prefer that someone else is mayor?

I don't know him, I've met him once. He was nice enough. A good friend of mine from Murray can't stand him though

Good news! While Buhler is my favorite, Becker would be my next choice. He's a hardcore liberal, but he has a demeanor well-suited to run a divided city like SLC. SLC has a couple of really good options.
