My memory of Twin Peaks is vague, and I certainly didn't watch all or most of it. But based on my memory, I venture to say that Twin Peaks is vastly, vastly superior to Mulholland Drive.

The main difference is that Mulholland tells basically one main story, whereas TP really was about 10 stories intertwined. mikewaters earlier called TP more like a mini-series. That is fair. Remember, it started out ONLY as a 2 hour pilot. It then became a show when the network picked it up. In the original Euro version of the pilot, Laura's murder is solved at the end of the first 2 hours. If you want to see a classic David Lynch movie, start with Blue Velvet. That is one amazingly weird show and Dennis Hopper is great...he does some really cool stuff with oxygen masks.

Only see Blue Velvet if you are in the mood to be disturbed. This is one of those movies where your wife will turn to you and say "What the hell is wrong with you?"

Big Love. Big thumbs down. Boring as hell, poor plot, poor writing.

Me too. That was quite a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2!

Favorite memories of tv are from the following:
**Sesame Street--I still remember my mom letting me watch this after school during lunch. **Cheers--I loved this show. Sam, Diane, Coach and Woody were all great characters. **Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Veronica Mars--Cut from the same cloth though very different in plots, etc. Both had terrific dialogue, great characters and very entertaining storylines. **Smurfs/Dungeons and Dragons--Both were kids shows that I had to watch every Saturday morning. Awesome. **Dukes of Hazzard--Friday night must viewing. Until the two main characters were replaced with their retarded cousins. Other shows that I always enjoyed: Frasier, Battlestar Galactica, Family Ties and Silver Spoons.
