Despite BJ struggles, Utes score twice late to overcome Beavers

Stingy Beavers Defense Tires, allows two late Utah scores as Utes take down Beavers

BJ goes deep as Utes pull off miraculous victory over Beavers

Sakoda is our MVP. I remember lots of years when BYU had all word kickers and thinking what a huge difference that made, particularly after Kaneshiro and others. It has been nice to finally have one of our own. He is without a doubt in my mind the toughest player we will have to replace.

After last night I don't think anyone can talk down about the effect special teams has on a game. Sakoda is a good as it gets in college football. Oregon st. had a horrible kicker on that was display last nikght on the missed P A T early in the game which in my mind cost O S U the ball game as well as the missed 42 yard field goal. Also on the note of special teams David Reed's return for 90 yards was huge. It came right after BJ's pic 6 and it completely killed the momentum that OSU has established at the time.

Louie Sakoda and their special teams deserve a ton of credit for the Utes win last night.

On a team that frankly didn't look very smart or heady, Sakoda stands out. He's like an Einstein admist a bunch of knuckle-draggers.

It's too bad that that Kruger's facemask didn't cost the Utes the game. Kruger is a piece of work.

This is probably the Whit hyperbole that cougar fans have come to know and love, but he said that Sakoda is a good enough athlete that he could play CB/ or WR...so, perhaps we'll see #35 in on offense sometime this season.

How about QB. Can he throw ducks that miss target by 20 yards? Balls so bad that no one on the field can catch them? Can he stand on his heels in the pocket, count to 5, take the sack, and toss the ball to the other team?

He needs to learn to make quicker decisions, even if that decision is to run.

duh. And that's what separates the good ones from the bad ones.

So you are saying he needs to be a better QB. Duh.

I appreciate your participation in football discussions, as this is unfamiliar territory for you. It puts a smile on my face.

I pine for the days of Ryan Kaneshiro.
