Claire Middlemiss may have been the first personal secretary to a prophet, but was not the last. When I first read that, I didn't think anything of it. But as I was talking to my wife the other day about meeting Prophets and such, I told her about Ezra Taft Benson coming to my home ward when I was a kid and how his secretary lived in my ward and arranged it. I asked my mom yesterday who was his secretary and her name was Betty MacDonald.
