but boy does it hurt to miss five weeks.

Wow, I lost so much in the pool, it feels awful.

I'm surprised you're allowed in the pool already. That must hurt.

It does. I didn't ask permission, I went any way. And boy, I added about ten seconds per hundred meters. That sucks.

Are you ever going to go in and let a doctor look at it or are you afraid he may want to cut you open?

That counts. If you can move it without to much discomfort then I say leave it alone.

You know me, I'm a wuss. There's pain, but it's manageable.

So I spoke with the physician and PT today, informed them of my activity. To my surprise, they were less than pleased and asked that I tone it down.

Apparently they find the rotational movement of swimming less than optimal for my recovery. I learned recovery from severe injury occurs within 4 to 6 weeks but that total recovery takes three months. Three months? I've never take three months to recover from anything.

That's what I was getting at when I mentioned being surprised that they'd already put you back in the pool.

I put myself back in the pool upon hearing what I wanted, "four weeks".
